 Like many of the most professionally run companies around the world, Rx DoQmed has implemented a Total Quality Management (TQM) program. TQM is a system that is characterized by continuous monitoring of quality utilizing time-tested sampling techniques, root cause analysis, feedback and implementation of training or techniques to prevent the reoccurrence of defects or errors.
The operations team has developed and instituted rigorous recruitment, training and quality management processes for all employees – transcriptionists, editors, QA and customer service personnel as well as the technology support team – to support the operational objective of achieving quality measurements that meet or exceed U.S. standards. All work received from specific accounts is distributed to our workforce based on our “facilitating engine” that includes transcription criteria such as skills and experience, specialization competence, productivity capabilities and recent delivery history, and account criteria such as work type, specialty, typing platform and complexity of the account guidelines. The rules are set at the transcriptionist level as well as the account and job type level, and continuously updated based on the most recent changes and delivery performance. Our editing staff is responsible for the final accuracy of the reports returned to the client.
In addition to the editing and QA work, a team of experienced transcription auditors performs regular, random quality audits on a representative percentage of the company’s monthly volume. The audits are conducted by proofing the selected reports and include a comprehensive review of demographics, terminology and spelling, English grammar and adherence to the unique set of account specific information - this is to assure the highest quality work product and service levels necessary to support excellence in transcription.
